Training Overview Description

This webinar is being provided by the Alaska Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program to assist Primary Care Providers with referral of patients for Breast Cancer Screenings. It will review the current state of breast cancer incidence and mortality and define best practices for early detection.

Presentation Objectives:
- Identify what makes a good screening exam and the rationale for screening for breast cancer
- Analyze current breast cancer demographics, risks and subtypes
- Assess breast cancer screening modalities
- Define care for heterogenous dense breasts, high risk patients, transgender patients, radiation exposure
