David Ampong, MSN, RN will present "Barriers to Implementation of Pharmacogenomics in Psychiatric Clinical Practice: An Integrative Review." There is a lack of knowledge about the utility of pharmacogenomics in clinical practice. Pharmacogenomic testing is aimed at reducing trial and error and tailoring treatment to the uniqueness of patient's genetic makeup. The recommendations discussed will include the role of the nursing staff, nurse educators, administrators, and NPS in the adoption of this new cutting edge treatment.

2. Criteria for successful completion include attending the entire presentation and completing an evaluation form. Upon successful completion, a CE certificate will be awarded for contact hours.
